During these events, more than 200 people were arrested and most of them are already charged.
But, things escalated quickly with the UC Berkeley incident after the violent interruption of the organized speaking of conservative Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulus. After the event was brutally interrupted, the riot made terrifying chaos in the city, brutally beating several Trump supporters and making more than $100,000 worth of damage.
Finally rioters, or should I say law offender will pay. On Wednesday there was a legislation law passed by Republican state seniors that make the consequences even worse for the violent rioters.
“Republican state senators voted on Wednesday to give the police new power to arrest anyone who is involved in a peaceful demonstration that turns bad – even before it actually happens, in order to lower the risk of chaos as many of the peaceful protesters turned chaotic are paid to riot.
“The racketeering laws of the state have been expanded by SB1142, from only including organized crime, to both organized crime and rioting. It also redefines what constitutes rioting to include actions which might result in property damage or hurt people.”
On the other side, Democrats are bragging that this law would damage their right to protest and their ‘freedom of speech’.
What do you think of the new bill?
