Bill De Blasio Intends To Boycott Chick-fil-A, Their Response Is Priceless

An unfounded accusation against the fast food chain of restaurants done by Bill de Blasio gives a funny context to the latest announcement of opening a new Chick-fil-A restaurant in N.Y. City. Transforming the public image of Chick-fil-A, de Blasio attempt to present it as an enemy of progressive thinking – as absurd as it sounds – only resulted in humoring the public. And nowadays events confirm this.

Last year, the liberal politician blasted Chick-fil-A for believing in traditional families and openly encouraged people to boycott the popular restaurant chain… but now the fast food giant may have the last laugh.

“What the ownership of Chick-fil-A has said is wrong,” de Blasio declared in May of 2016. “I’m certainly not going to patronize them, and I wouldn’t urge any other New Yorker to patronize them,” chastised the Democrat.

Other New York Democrats had even more harsh words for the Christian-owned chicken joint. “Chick-fil-A is anti-LGBT,” wailed City Councilman Danny Dromm, according to The Washington Times.

Those hand-wringing statements came after Chick-fil-A CEO Dan T. Cathy made the not-very-controversial statement that his company supports “the biblical definition of the family unit.”

Yes, in the minds of leftists, traditional families are terrifying… and being for them automatically means that you bitterly hate every person on the other side.

In fact, the conservative-leaning business has gone out of its way in the past to be kind and courteous to all customers, including those who don’t share the same views.

The concept that it’s possible to hold moral beliefs while still loving and respecting people who disagree with you seemed completely lost on people like de Blasio and Dromm.

Fast forward from 2016 to now. Just days ago, the restaurant chain made a stunning announcement: They’re building the “largest Chik-fil-A ever,” and it’s going to be right in downtown Manhattan

The New York Post reported that the planned restaurant will be situated close to both the 9/11 Memorial and Freedom Tower. Chik-fil-A’s plans are for a five-level, 12,000 square foot building with impressive floor to ceiling windows to create a stunning panorama.

“The Fulton Street metro station is right next door to the restaurant, and no one will ever build on top of it,” stated Chick-fil-A design manager Nathaniel Cates. “That means our guests will always have the same views of Freedom Tower.”

It’s been said that living well is the best revenge. While the restaurant’s management would probably not put it in those words, building the largest Chick-fil-A restaurant right in de Blasio’s back yard is the ultimate “how-do-you-do” to the naysayers.

People are tired of identity-based attacks, especially against conservative groups and businesses who dare to simply have traditional values.

The public is voting with their dollars — and it looks like New Yorkers are about to cast their ballots for deliciousness.

Yet another example of liberals’ aggression against opinions differing from theirs that flows unnoticed in the sea of debacles of this sort. Hiding under the mask of progressive ideas, these people put down all who disagree with the beliefs they impose.
