Donald Trump keeps on giving the right job to the right people. And he has made the right choice again by placing General John F Kelly to be the secretary of Homeland Security.
It’s a matter of serious and difficult job,so it’s no wonder that Kelly was Trump’s pick, since there is no other person that would be better at this job than him.
According to The Daily Caller he won an 88-11 vote.
In a separate vote, the Senate also confirmed retired Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis as secretary of defense.
The Department of Homeland Security is a sprawling network of more than 240,000 employees with responsibilities that range from national emergency management to guarding the nation’s electrical grid.
The blunt-spoken retired Marine general will be in charge of securing the nation’s borders, including construction of the controversial southern border wall.
Trump could not have made a better pick for the job. Protecting and serving our country is wired into Kelly’s DNA. For 36 years, from Central and South America to Iraq and our nation’s Capitol, he served U.S. interests, oversaw military operations and advised officials on matters of national security.
“Gen. Kelly has devoted his life to service, and I’m thankful that the full Senate has recognized that he is the right person to be the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security,” said Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, according to The Washington Post.
As any wise executive should, Trump has been picking leaders who have their own strong opinions about how to fulfill their responsibilities. Kelly stated in confirmation hearings that he supported a southern border wall, but also emphasized the importance of manpower and technology in improving border security, according to CBS News.
He said that he doesn’t support the idea of registering immigrants based on their religion or ethnicity and told senators during his confirmation hearing that religion should not be used as a basis for law enforcement or counterrorism operations.
Immediately following the inaugural parade, Vice President Mike Pence presided at the swearing-in ceremony for Kelly and Mattis in the Ceremonial Office in the Eisenhower Executive Office building on the White House grounds, according to the Washington Examiner.
Once again Donald Trump has proven himself to be the right man to be a president,by placing all the right men on their suitable position. He is putting his faith and trust in the most proper honorable people, but of course he is expecting nothing less than the best service for America of them.Do you agree he has done the right choice?
