On early Sunday morning, Mitchell Mormon Jr. was shot down after an argument over Donald Trump’s immigration plan. This happened outside of a popular bar in Atlanta, Georgia.
On Saturday night, Mormon was accompanied by Shaunita Walker. Shaunita, who was injured in the shooting, is the one who explained how the murder happened.
She told WSBTV that the shooter and Mormon started their arguing in front of the bar, after the shooter made an inappropriate comment about Walker.
The situation escalated after Mormon joking that the man, who was Hispanic, would be deported within the next week and that Mormon himself voted for Trump.
Walker claimed that the shooter then walked around the corner and, upon his return, started firing.
“I heard the first shot and it went into my arm, and I just grabbed my arm and I just began to scream,” Walker stated. “And then I heard two more shots and I saw Mitchell on the ground, and I’m just screaming, ‘somebody please help us! Somebody please help him!’”
According to Walker, is not the Trump comment that angered the shooter, she stated that he looked like his idea was to “cause chaos”.
Police are still searching for the shooter and two other men who were captured by security camera’s outside the bar and that are also believed to have knowledge of his identity.
