President Donald Trump has recently visited France where their new president Emmanuel Macron gave him a special treatment in Paris while celebrating Bastille Day.
Both presidents along with their wives had dinner at the Eiffel Tower and said very good things about each other’s countries. They also watched their militaries put on an amazing show.
Although Trump is half-British, he did not visit Britain after his trip to France nor he plans to visit our close ally in near future. Back in January, the President was invited to visit the UK by Prime Minister with a formal state visit hosted by The Queen. However, the visit was postponed a few times when liberal anti-Trump protests outrage. Last week, May received a call from President Trump who told her that he won’t visit her country until he is assured that there will be no protests. This came after his visit to Hamburg where protests against him emerged

Also, Sadiq Khan who is the Mayor of London doesn’t want Trump to visit Britain.
As CNN reports, he said: ‘State visits are different from a normal visit and at a time when the President of the United States has policies that many in our country disagree with, I am not sure it is appropriate for our government to roll out the red carpet. If you somehow think it is not possible to be a Muslim and a proud westerner, I am happy to disabuse you of that idea, whether you are a reporter for CNN or Donald Trump.’
Although Britain has rolled out the red royal carpet for all kinds of dictators and tyrants such as Putin and Assad, Khan didn’t do anything to stop these visits. According to him, Trump is the worst leader in modern times.
Khan is the first Muslim who runs London. Trump’s Muslim ban really bothered him and that is why he doesn’t want him in Britain. With the numerous terrorist attacks that happen every day around the world, we don’t blame Trump for the travel ban. He only wants our country to be safer and to protect its citizens.
Piers Morgan writes for Daily Mail: And frankly, after two horrendous ISIS terror attacks in London in the past few months – and another at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester – Sadiq Khan might be well advised to get off his high horse and start working WITH Trump to see how more can best be avoided.
Although French President Macron and Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel do not agree with Trump’s views and policies, they still respect him. Both of them have put their national interest over any personal feelings because they have realized that it’s better to have America as a friend than as a foe. Sadiq Khan should learn from them.
Piers Morgan writer for Daily Mail: By continuing to insult and lecture Trump, and repeat his call for the state visit to be scrapped, Khan is being bloody stupid and causing enormous potential damage to Britain.
And he is right. Britain has already voted to exit the Europe Union which is a reckless decision. But, if Britons want to make it work and to protect themselves against economic collapse, they should make trade deals with other non-EU countries. Currently, the USA is their biggest non-EU trading partner and they should keep it that way.
As Daily Mail reports: A week ago, when he met with Theresa May at the G20 summit in Hamburg, President Trump promised to sign a new trade deal with Britain ‘very, very quickly.’ He said: ‘We will do a very big deal, a very powerful deal. Trade will be a big factor between our two countries.’ Then he added: ‘There is no country that could possibly be closer than our countries.’
Despite being insulted, Trump still considers Britain as America’s ally. However, if Britons continue to disrespect him, he may see Britain as an enemy. Khan’s behavior is ungrateful, but he is only the Mayor of London. Theresa May is the one that runs Britain.
Khan should take notes from the French President Macron who could teach him how to behave with world leaders. If he continues to insult the U.S. President then he insults America – Britain’s greatest ally. He should take his mind of Trump a little bit and focus on keeping London safe from terrorist attacks and fires.
