Fox News has reported that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton may have fainted when she was forced to leave the 9/11 memorial ceremony early Sunday due to a “medical episode.”
A law enforcement source says that she had to be carried to her van by her security, and that she appeared to faint on the way there.
It was reported that the Democratic nominee, whose health has been very much in question of late, was “clearly having some type of medical episode.”
Witnesses said that Clinton first stumbled from a curb. That’s when her “knees buckled.” Clinton lost a shoe as she was carried to her van. An unnamed witness, who seemed to be speaking in the most euphemistic terms possible, said that Clinton had an “unexpected early departure.” The New York Post reports the incident it happened just before 10a.m. local time.
“They grabbed her shoe, flagged down the rest of the motorcade and this was given to her protective detail,” Fox News’ Rick Leventhal said, according to the U.K. Express.
“The protective detail helped her into the van and the van took off, presumably in the direction of the hospital.
“It’s not terribly hot today. It was certainly warm at the scene,” Leventhal added.

Clinton’s health episode came as politicians and dignitaries gathered in New York City to pay their respects on the 15th anniversary of the deadliest terror attack on U.S. soil. Republican candidate Donald Trump was also in attendance; both candidates had agreed to suspend campaign activities in remembrance of the attacks.
According to WNYW-TV, Clinton’s campaign would not respond to a reporter’s question about the candidate’s location at the time. They also reported that the reporters who were following her on the campaign trail were disallowed from leaving the set-aside media area for a period of time, preventing them from trailing her as she left the event.
If Hillary’s fainting is substantiated — and there certainly seems to be enough corroborating evidence at this hour to indicate that this “medical episode” was serious — it could be the smoking gun that indicates that worries about the Democratic candidate’s health are not just spurious conjecture or conspiracy theory.
We’ve seen a lot of evidence over the past few months that indicates Hillary might not be up for the rigors of the job. However, the mainstream media has more or less dismissed these health scares, when they’ve reported on them at all.
And that’s for a reason: the Clinton campaign has aggressively gone after anyone in the mainstream media who’s dared to bring it up. One Clinton surrogate tweeted “get a life” to a reporter who covered Clinton’s coughing fit. Another said that the campaign is pushing back against “the fringes.”
“They’re trying to work the refs a little bit as they try to push back on the mainstream media’s willingness to pick up on some of this stuff that’s usually left to the fringes,” Clinton surrogate Jim Manley said.
Ah yes, “the fringes.” Read: anyone who doesn’t cover the Clinton campaign exactly how the Clinton campaign wishes itself to be covered.
We’ll keep you updated on this, but one thing is for certain: worries about Hillary’s health aren’t just going to be for “the fringes” any more.
