The nation was shocked this Sunday when an NFL player decided stand out and serve as a courageous example of what a true American patriot should look like.
While the entire Pittsburgh Steeler’s team stayed hidden away in the locker room during the play of the national anthem, one player was out full-heartedly respecting the American values and anthem, and he was a former army ranger.
The name of that player is Alejandro Villanueva, who prior to taking up the NFL as a career choice and took up the position of offensive tackle, served as an Army veteran.
While the rest of Villanueva’s teammates were in the locker room hiding, the former army veteran was out standing in the tunnel, holding his helmet in his left hand and holding his right hand over his heart as the anthem was playing.

Villanueva started out by playing NFL in college at West Point Military Academy, before he went on to become an Army Ranger. He was later signed by the Philadelphia Eagles back in 2014 before eventually joined the Steelers. An article by the NFL released earlier this year has revealed that Villanueva first caught the attention of the Steelers’ head coach Mike Tomlin as a result of the way he stood during the national anthem.
Since the mainstream media avoided covering this, it is up to us the supporters of President Trump to share this wonderful man as an example of a true American patriot.
