Federal Judge Makes Official Decision On Sheriff Joe’s Pardon

President Donald Trump’s pardon of former sheriff Joe Arpaio has been accepted by the federal judge. It was basically a formality at this point but it is good to see nonetheless. Arpaio had no business being in jail or even being charged with a crime. President Trump was smart to step in before this went too far.

In Phoenix this week, US District Judge Susan Bolton heard arguments on President Donald Trump’s pardon of Joe Arpaio. He pardoned the former Maricopa County sheriff in August, and the Department of Justice completely dropped its case against him.

There was a hearing Wednesday that was to decide whether Arpaio’s conviction would stand or be totally vacated. This will go down as one of the best pardons in the history of this county.

Arpaio was different from most presidential pardons. When a president decides to pardon someone, usually it is done with the assumption that the convicted person will be free of any punishment. But the conviction is still on record and is still there. But Arpaio took it a step further with this. He wanted to clear his name completely. And that is exactly what he did.

In fact, Trump even had to come out in defense of his own pardon. This came after he was attacked by liberals for making the decision.

“He’s done a great job for the people of Arizona. He’s very strong on borders, very strong on illegal immigration,” Trump said. “He is loved in Arizona. I thought he was treated unbelievably unfairly.”

“Sheriff Joe is a patriot. Sheriff Joe loves our country. Sheriff Joe protected our borders. And Sheriff Joe was very unfairly treated by the Obama administration,” Trump said. “I stand by my pardon.”

This is good news for conservatives around the country who thought that this man was severely mistreated by the liberals around the country. It seems like that is what we have been seeing a lot as of late. Obama had a huge impact on our judicial system here in the United States. This is a perfect example of that. It is nice to see some justice finally being served from President Trump.

Are you glad to see this?
