The House Oversight Committee was holding a hearing on Hillary’s emails, and key witness, former State Department IT specialist Brian Pagliano, failed to show up, despite the fact that they’d received a subpoena to do so. Are you surprised? Hillary Clinton thinks she’s above the law. Representative Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, however, is on a mission to hold her accountable to the laws of our country.
Outraged, Gowdy yelled at Democratic Rep. Stephen Lynch, “Where is the criminal liability? Congress can’t prosecute anyone and the one entity who can has granted him immunity,” Gowdy said. “What we have done is put him under threat of criminal prosecution. It puts him in jeopardy coming before this committee while that criminal referral is in existence. He’s an American citizen. I know the Constitution gets in the way of this committee sometimes.”
Added Trey, “I want to read the agreement between the Department of Justice and this witness and whether or not that agreement requires the witness to cooperate with other entities of government. That is commonplace! For them to say you can tell us the truth but you can’t tell Congress makes no sense! That’s all I want.” Do you think Trey won this argument? Watch the video below:
