Recently, the “Hunger Games” star, Jennifer Lawrence, trampled on America, Republicans and Christianity. The Oscar-winning actress made fun of the state where she is born – Kentucky.
In an interview with Vogue magazine, Lawrence said that Kim Davis, the Kentucky county clerk, made her feel “embarrassed to be from Kentucky” because Davis did not sign off on gay marriage licenses.
“Don’t even say her name in this house,” said Lawrence. “All those people holding their crucifixes, which may as well be pitchforks, thinking they’re fighting the good fight. I grew up in Kentucky. I know how they are.”
She continued her tirade by switching her negative thoughts to the Republican party — a party she claims “doesn’t support women’s basic rights.” According to Lawrence, she was raised as a Republican, but obviously didn’t take any time to research what the party stands for — or much of anything else, for that matter.
Lawrence took a quick shot at the state of gay marriage in the United States.
“It’s 2015 and gay people can get married and we think that we’ve come so far, so, yay!” she said. “But have we? I don’t want to stay quiet about that stuff.”
Well, her bank account depends on these American Christians that she is trashing. Hopefully, we will remember what she said when her next movie hits the cinemas.
