Trump caused controversy with the liberal media when he said that McCain wasn’t a hero. One would expect McCain to be angry at Trump for that comment. But he wasn’t, instead he could see through the media bullsh*t and understand that they truly agree on the issues.
McCain was asked to by the Arizona Daily Star to defend a comment Trump recently made about veterans committing suicide being ‘weak’. His answer was amazing. “This is kind of the classic example of the media feeding frenzy that is going on. The bias that is in the media,” McCain started.
“What he is saying is that some people, for whatever reason, and we really don’t understand why, suffer from PTSD, and others don’t. They see horror stories. They see events that you couldn’t see in a movie, nobody would believe it. I know people who have suffered from PTSD. I never have. I have never had a flashback. I never had a bad memory; I never had anything but the greatest gratitude for the honor of serving in the company of heroes,” said McCain.
While the media is claiming that Trump called suicidal veterans “weak”, here is what he really said. “When you talk about the mental health problems — when people come back from war and combat, and they see things that maybe a lot of the folks in this room have seen many times over, and you’re strong, and you can handle it. But a lot of people can’t handle it.” What do you think of Trump’s comment?
