JUST IN: Students Who Skipped School To Riot Against Trump Just Got TERRIFYING NEWS! – Did They Deserve This?

Bad news for the students who skipped class and protested against Trump’s victory at the presidential election.

Common sense is still alive in Oberlin College campus in Ohio that is not excusing students who skipped classes and exams to go protest against Trump.

As Cleveland.com reports – falling grades due to missed work during the semester due to protesting, will not be suspended.

1,300 Anti-Trump students, from Oberlin College, signed a “no-fail mercy period” petition. This means that no one would have failed if Ohio college had agreed on the terms of the petition. Also the lowest grade that a student could have received would be “C”

Oberlin College President Marvin Krislov responded to the students’ petition via email on Sunday. He bluntly informed them that the college’s deans have decided not to give them any mercy period after giving the matter its due consideration.

“We are in firm agreement that suspending grading protocols is not the way to achieve our shared goal of ensuring that students have every opportunity and resource to succeed,” Krislov said. “To reiterate: we are firmly committed to supporting students in their health, well-being, and academic success.”

Here’s an excerpt from the petition students sent to the Oberlin College President:

Administrators should require professors to exercise complete flexibility in what students are saying they can produce academically. Students in this moment should have complete access to alternative modes of learning while we process what’s happening. Basically, no student, especially black students and students of color, should be failing a class this semester. A “C” should be the lowest grade students can receive this semester.”

Kiki Acey, a junior at Oberlin College, who actually helped write the petition is upset by the school’s decision to make the students actually earn their grades.

“People’s communities are being mercilessly murdered and beaten in the streets every day around the world,” Kiki Acey said. “Others are being locked away by the millions for petty crimes. And many of us are still working every day just to be able to afford this education that fails to tell us how to free ourselves.”

Do you support the student or you think they should earn their grades?
