As the NFL situation continues to become more tensed, our president got the support from patriot Rob O’Neill. Regarding the tasteless choice of expressing dissatisfaction done by NFL players, O’Neill expressed his opinion on this matter.
On Sunday, NFL player protests erupted as a result of President Donald Trump’s speech in which he lashed out at the players for kneeling during the national anthem.
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these N.F.L. owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now, out, he’s fired!.’ You know, some owner is going to do that. He’s gonna say, ‘That guy disrespects our flag, he’s fired.’ And that owner, they don’t know it. They don’t know it. They’re friends of mine, many of them. They don’t know it. They’ll be the most popular person, for a week. They’ll be the most popular person in the country.”
He used some harsh language, but everything he said is to the point.
Even Navy SEAL Rob O’Neill — the man who killed Osama Bin Laden and authored the book “The Operator” — couldn’t remain silent about this issue. O’Neill unleashed on the man who started the anthem protests, Colin Kaepernick.
During a Fox News appearance Sunday, he tore apart the former San Francisco 49er’s quarterback.
When asked what he felt about NFL players kneeling during the national anthem, the famous vet said:
“As a veteran, it’s insulting.”
He went on to say that there are many other methods of protesting issues — but that undermining the American Flag and what it stands for is not one of them.
Then he called out Kaepernick specifically:
“Colin Kaepernick. Where’s he playing today? Oh that’s right, he doesn’t have a job.
He rejected Kaepernick’s assertions, pointing out that the 29-year-old recently wore a Fidel Castro shirt in protest against discrimination, reports The Truth Division.
