Things are not looking good for Bill O’Reilly. In the report below, based on information given by insiders, Bill O’Reilly may probably end his career. He is accused of sexual harassment. Read more below:
Insiders at Fox News say the network is preparing to “cut ties” with Bill O’Reilly over sexual harassment allegations, The Wall Street Journal reported late Tuesday night.
The Wall Street Journal story came on a fast-moving day that saw more evidence that O’Reilly’s time at the network could be coming to an end.
First, New York magazine released a report stating that three sources inside the network said the Murdoch family was looking to let go of “The O’Reilly Factor” host. Then, reports of a new accuser emerged in The Hollywood Reporter, with an African-American woman alleging that during her time at Fox, in 2008, O’Reilly would refer to her as “hot chocolate” and “grunt at her like a wild boar.”Finally, a cryptic tweet from Matt Drudge — who rarely uses his social media account — seemed to imply he knew that O’Reilly was finished
O’Reilly has had tremendous run. Very few in the business get to decide when and how things end. Media is most brutal of all industries…

“O’Reilly has had tremendous run,” Drudge tweeted Tuesday afternoon. “Very few in the business get to decide when and how things end. Media is most brutal of all industries.” According to The Hill, Drudge also tweeted just before Fox News chairman Roger Ailes left over similar allegations last year.
Fox News did not comment on any of the reports.
O’Reilly has been off the air since April 11. While O’Reilly said that it was a regularly scheduled vacation, sources in the network told The Wall Street Journal that his departure for the break was earlier than previously expected.
O’Reilly’s problems began with an April 1 article in The New York Times that revealed the network had shelled out $13 million to settle sexual harassment claims against O’Reilly.
Even though The Times piece acknowledged that “companies occasionally settle disputes that they believe have little merit because it is less risky than taking the matters to trial, which can be costly and create a string of embarrassing headlines,” protests outside Fox News headquarters and pressure from advertisers began to mount, even as O’Reilly’s ratings went up.
In its Tuesday report, New York magazine said Fox News patriarch Rupert Murdoch had resisted firing O’Reilly, in part because he didn’t want to be seen as giving in to a piece from The New York Times. However, Murdoch’s children, who have taken a more active role in Fox News parent News Corp. over the years, began to lean toward firing O’Reilly.
One factor that could influence the decision is an attempt by News Corp. to buy British pay-TV provider Sky. In May, British regulatory body Ofcom will decide whether the Murdoch-led company is “fit and proper” to own the massive provider.
A previous attempt by News Corp. to purchase Sky was withdrawn in 2011 after the News of the World hacking scandal came to light.
However, in the midst of all of this kerfuffle, it’s worth pointing out one thing: A talk show host is now apparently being held to a higher standard than former President Bill Clinton was.
When Clinton was faced with a multitude of sexual harassment charges before, during, and after his presidency, did we see Democrats protesting outside of the White House? Did we see corporations who refused to work with the Clinton Foundation? Did Clinton’s campaign lose donors?
Of course not.
If these allegations against O’Reilly are true — and it seems unlikely that a thorough and fair investigation could be conducted against the host so quickly — he obviously acted very wrongly. We will never defend such disgusting behavior.
However, the double standard here is absolutely appalling. There’s far more evidence that Bill Clinton’s inappropriate behavior happened — and that inappropriate behavior includes allegations of rape. Yet, the same people engaging in holy war against Bill O’Reilly are more than happy to stand up for Bill Clinton at every turn.
It’s yet more proof that if the left didn’t have a double standard, they wouldn’t have any standards at all.
I hope that the liberal leftists are going to shut their dirty mouths. Bill Clinton was sued because of sexual harassment by a couple of women, and the liberals’ favorite Hillary did everything in her power to shut down these women. That’s hypocrisy…
