While the questions of Hillary Clinton’s honesty and competence are ones that most Americans can only debate, there are some who have felt the string of her dishonesty and incompetence first hand. To those people, those families, there is no debate to be had.
In a new ad in support of Donald Trump’s presidential candidacy by the America First PAC, the widow of fallen Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, killed by Islamofascist terrorists in Benghazi on September 11, 2012, makes it clear she felt the sting of both Clinton’s dishonesty and ineptness. Dorothy Woods reminds us of Hillary Clinton’s callousness and self-serving political rhetoric in the aftermath of abandoning Americans pleading for help. Woods rightfully calls Clinton “ a disgrace.”
As the Clinton campaign is so quick to point out, Gold Star families – those left behind for their loved ones having made the ultimate sacrifice – deserve respect and reverence. So, it is stunning that Clinton herself vomits on the souls of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.
The Benghazi assassinations of four Americans, including a sitting US ambassador, are an unresolved event where culpability is concerned. While House committees still struggle to expose the truth for all of the obstruction by the US State Department, one fact remains: Hillary Clinton was the Secretary of State at the time and the consulate and the people serving that consulate were in her charge. Ultimately, she is responsible for the events that took place that evening.
This is the basis for Dorothy Woods’ charges against Clinton. The basis is indisputable; the facts are what they are, even if the Clinton camp and her Progressive surrogates spin, deny, manipulate and deflect the issue.
“My husband, Ty Woods, was a Navy seal and a fierce patriot. He was killed during the attack in Benghazi while saving American lives under the charge of our state department,” Woods said in the ad, “When Hillary Clinton was challenged by Congress on who was to blame for the attack her response was a disgrace!”
It is important that we never – ever – forget the disgraceful and cowardly words of this purely political creature as she attempted to cover her sorry behind.
“The fact is we had four dead Americans,” Clinton screeched in testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 2013. “Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided to go kill some Americans? What difference, at this point, does it make?!”
Woods goes on to explain just why it – in fact – does make a difference. It makes a difference to the families of those who, instead of embracing their loved ones as they return from the fields of battle, had to bury them.
A true leader accepts responsibility for his or her actions. When the action results in glory, that leader is rained with accolades and appreciation. When the actions result in failure and catastrophe, the nation only respects those who face the consequences for their actions.
In the matter of Hillary Clinton versus the truth about Benghazi, Clinton stands convicted as a truth-dodging coward.
Hillary Clinton isn’t a leader, this we know.
